Tasteful Things is a gourmet food store located in Bridgton Maine founded in 2015 by Nate & Carole Sunday. Both Nate and Carole had a vision of one day owning a business of something special, and one of their special passions is cooking (and baking). After relocating from Central Pennsylvania in 2002, Nate decided to leave his corporate profession behind and begin the venture. Besides cooking, Nate loves to garden and use fresh herbs whenever possible, so he thought about incorporating this passion into a business. After doing some serious research “Tasteful Things” was born.
Tasteful Things specializes in a selection of certified Extra Virgin Olive Oils (EVOO) and Balsamic Vinegars from Modena, Italy. Tastings are always offered to customers because it’s very important to recognize the true taste and quality of real EVOO and Balsamic Vinegar. Nate has become an ESAO (Olive Oil School of Spain) certified Olive Oil taster, using this ability to purchase only the very freshest and correct Olive Oils from around the world. Nate trusts his suppliers for honesty and accuracy when purchasing these products and often has the products tested according to Italian standards.

Visitors can also enjoy an array of Maine Made specialty food products along with unique kitchen gadgets, and entertaining tools. Tasteful Things has a beautiful selection of olive wood bowls, tools, and platters for entertaining, unique BBQ and grilling rubs, sauces, and marinades. There are plenty of spices and salts that can’t be found in your local grocery store. The mission is to find unusual foods for your enjoyment.
